I cannot tell you how much I LOVE holiday-themed weddings, and Whitney and Wesley went all out on this one! Christmas trees for backdrops, wreaths and cranberry’s everywhere! It was beautiful, that is about all it comes down to.

So we are gearing up to launch our brand new website and blog! Our friends over at Flash Palette just launched their newest design, and I couldn’t resist trying it out… Our officially launch date is December 21st.
We have been having some difficulties with our E-Mail server over the past few weeks resulting in a few messages not being sent or received. If you have sent us an email in the last three weeks and have NOT received a reply within 24 hours, please resend your email! Also if you have been expecting an email from us (regarding passwords, links to finished albums, ect) please let me know so I can resend the email you should have gotten! Just a reminder about our holiday deadlines. Our deadline for coffee table albums is fast approaching! October 28th is the last day to submit your album orders to receive your books in time for the holidays!
Canvases, large prints (bigger than 12×18), and specialty prints (metallic paper, holiday cards, ect) have until November 15th to be submitted, and November 20th for reprints 12×18 and smaller.
We also have $50 gift certificates that are great gifts for parents, grandparents, and your bridal party! Or if you are a friend or relative, these also make great gifts for the bride and groom. They can use them towards anything… Prints, canvases, or to upgrade their album!
So wedding season is super busy right now, and we are in full swing for the fall season! Stay tuned for a brand new blog and a new look for our website coming later this month!
Also just a note about our holiday deadlines for 2007. Album orders must be received by October 23rd for all books needed by Christmas. Reprints and canvases have a little longer until the deadline. The deadline for those is November 20th.

2007 has really opened the doors to so many opportunities! My first maternity session… and now my very first baby session! I loved working with this little 6 week old so much I might just start accepting more kids and baby sessions (and of course I will still be doing weddings full-time!). We will see where it goes!

I just love doing weddings at Berry College. Especially at Frost Chapel, which is still one of my all-time favorite places for weddings. Shannon and Brendan had their wedding AND reception at Frost, which made for double the fun. Next month we get to do two more weddings at Frost for Kathi & Chris, and Autumn & Tyler! What a great month May will be!
Here are just a few favorite shots from the beautiful 85+ degree day! Funny how we can set a record high (87) and a record low (27) within a week. Welcome to Georgia weather!

Yesterday Brad and I took a hike to Athens to meet with one of our wonderful brides Kerri who’s wedding is next week! We hammered down all the details and I got to see the beautiful Foundry Park Inn where the wedding will take place. After seeing the location I am SO excited for next week! This venue is truly one-of-a-kind! It’s going to be a blast.
Later on we walked around downtown Athens, photographed a show at Tasty World. We ended up leaving Athens after midnight. What a great day!
Here is the parting shot of the day. Right as we were leaving the club’s parking lot I noticed this precious little guy and just had to stop and get his picture. He was just waiting so patiently for his owner to return. He was the venue owner’s dog, so this must have been a routine for him.
This was shot at midnight using my car’s headlights as our light source. Fancy set-up there…
Callie and Brian picked a perfect place for an engagement session! You wouldn’t think Downtown Norcross would have SO many great photo places, I was surprised! I can’t wait until their wedding in June, it’s going to be great!

So today I was pruning my Snap Dragons (yes, I said it, I like to garden believe it or not…) and collecting the seeds from the little seed-pods so I can expand my Snap Dragon family for 2007… WELL, I came to one of the last seed-pods on the plant and found this little guy! This is by far one of the most off-the-wall bizarre things I have ever seen in my life.
It’s a little old man!!! I mean, everything is there. Two eyes, a mouth, a nose, lips, TEETH, and even eyelashes. Insane! So of course I whipped out my camera and got a little macro action going on. Maybe I will try to sell it on eBay or something. 
I had this idea for a cool kid picture after seeing something similar on a book cover. So I though I would give it a try! My best friend from High School was kind enough to let me borrow her beautiful 3.5 year old daughter for the afternoon. We must have spun her a million times, I wish we had our efforts on tape (It would have definitely been something for America’s Funniest Home Videos). There were several times we had to stop shooting because all three of us were laughing so hard we couldn’t move. What a great day!

Leslie was our big winner from the Northwest Georgia Bridal Showcase! She walked away with a free engagement session for her and her fiance Michael! The engagement session was a few weeks ago… It was a beautiful day, but FREEZING! I think it was about 30 degrees that morning. Leslie and Michael did a great job pretending to be warm. Congrats to you two!
Well, Kelly and Michael picked an absolutely perfect day for a shoot! We ran around on the Berry College campus for an hour or two and just had a great time. Here’s proof right here:
Last week I got an awesome opportunity! One of my past wedding clients called me up with some great news. They are having a baby girl! So they asked if I would come out and photograph Jessie’s cute baby belly! This was a first for me, and will definitely not be the last time I do this type of shoot. So much fun! The pictures just came out gorgous (I made Jessie cry…). I just can’t wait until the middle of April when we get to meet the little gal… Congrats you all!

We had such a wonderful time at the Northwest Georgia Bridal Show last weekend! This was our first time having a booth at once of these shows and it was so much fun (We will definitely be doing it again next year!)!
The show itself was so well put together. Amy and Michael of Scott Productions did an awesome job making things happen. If you are still in need of a DJ, they are the best I have ever had the privilege of working with.
Thanks to the show, we have SEVEN brand new couples for our 2007 and 2008 season (and it has only been a week)! I am so excited about each and every one of them, they are all so nice!

Save the Dates are a great way to get the word out to your guests before the actual invitations are mailed. Especially if your wedding is planned for a holiday weekend or the summer when a lot of guests will plan their vacations.
We just did some super cute save-the-date postcards for Morgann and Grant, one of our wonderful Berry couples. We can also do these in refrigerator magnets. I just love this cute idea!

Well, Marcus and Lauren were officially my last bride and groom for 2006, and it was great to go out with a bang (or the sound of dozens of noisemakers if you want to get technical…) Marcus was actually one of my music photography clients way back when and decided to called me up to talk about wedding photography. Lauren is also a musician and put that combination together, along with their awesome families and friends, and you have yourself one big giant party! It was definitely a great night!
